A month of intentional gratitude

Along with literally millions of others, I did a month of thankful posts, daily, to help with intentionality towards gratitude. I have tried to do this many times and usually I miss a day here or there. Save for tomorrow, I will have done one thankful/grateful post for each day. This month started out smoothly. Then the week before Thanksgiving our family was smacked head-on with the worst stomach virus we've endured. It ended with two ER visits, two overnights in the hospital, missed school days, missed first school dance, and a lot of bleach! We were grateful to be well on the road to recovery for Thanksgiving day.

Unfortunately, the vicar has been down for the last two days with some new version of the stomach yuck. Let him be a cautionary tale, if you use a CPAP and have the stomach yuck, do as your wife instructs and change out the pieces so as to not reinfect yourself! Prayerfully this round will not necessitate an ER visit for him and he can rest and recuperate quickly because this is the busiest season for clergy!

As we continue to ride the holiday season wave know that our family is praying daily for you, your loved ones, and the world. This holiday season, the world and its joy and faults rage on. If you find yourself without loved ones near and either are in geographical proximity to West Texas or want to travel here, let us welcome you with open arms and hearts. It's chaos on the daily but it is also full of love and joy. We would be overjoyed for your presence. You are loved and joyous and we would be honored to be part of your holiday. I love you, mean it!

Happiest of Holidays,

Dr. Mrs. Vicarage

How's Your Heart?
